Some new geometry teaching resources for the home-schoolers today: free, downloadable tessellating “tiles” to help with your maths and art curriculum… or just to play with at break time! Here’s a short movie clip to give you some ideas for grids and how to use them: http://ayeshagamiet.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Tessellating-Tiles-Grid.mov
I recommend printing the tile pdf onto thin white card, or cartridge paper if you have it. Plain photocopy paper will also work, if you don’t. Cut out the shapes and start experimenting! You can paste your favourite patterns onto paper. Once you’ve got the hang of the tessellations, try creating your own designs on the back! Enjoy!
More resources to come next week…
